Email drfindley@gmail.com and you’ll get a reply from the people who actually build MessKit — usually within one business day.
Before you write — three quick answers
- “I deleted something — can I get it back?” Yes, if the Trash hasn’t been emptied: open History in MessKit, find the batch, and use Show in Trash, then right-click → Put Back in Finder. MessKit never empties the Trash itself.
- “I freed space but iCloud storage didn’t shrink.” That’s Messages in iCloud behavior — see the caveat on the pricing page. MessKit’s iCloud mode explains which space each action frees and points you at Apple’s controls for the rest.
- “Why does it need Full Disk Access?” That’s the macOS permission required to read the Messages database — reading only, as the privacy policy spells out. You can revoke it any time in System Settings.
What to include in a bug report
- Your macOS version and MessKit version (MessKit → About MessKit)
- What you did, what you expected, what happened instead
- A screenshot if the problem is visible
