Before you buy — the iCloud caveat

The only cleaner that tells you the truth about Messages in iCloud

If Messages in iCloud is on, freeing iCloud space uses Apple’s own tools — with MessKit’s guidance.

When Messages in iCloud is on, Apple treats local attachment files as a re-downloadable cache: deleting them frees space on this Mac, but iCloud will hold — and may re-download — its copy. Other cleaners let you believe otherwise. MessKit says which kind of space every action frees, ranks what’s actually worth acting on, and walks you to Apple’s own controls for the real iCloud fix.

If your storage problem is iCloud storage specifically, know this before you pay — MessKit will help you see and rank the problem, and will point you at the fix, but Apple only lets Apple free that space. We’d rather tell you here than in a refund email.

What happens to my files when I “clean” them?: They move to the macOS Trash. Nothing MessKit does is unrecoverable — the moment of truth is you emptying the Trash, on your schedule.
How many Macs can I use it on?: Your license covers the Macs you personally use. No per-seat metering, no server checking on you.
What about refunds?: 14 days, no interrogation. The refund policy is four paragraphs long.
